The Navy is undertaking a brisk about-face on a contentious plan that shelved scores titles for enlisted seafarers, according to a notification Chief of Naval Operations Adm. John Richardson that was actually set for release on Wednesday early morning but was revealed on social media on Tuesday evening.
The liberals really want to make the armed forces as politically appropriate as they are and along with Obama in workplace, they were effective … until today.
The NAVADMIN, or Navy Administration, changed the headlines of their enlisted from number and letter combinations, like E3, to more common titles like Seaman or Petty Officer. Despite Liberal distressed the rank labels are now being changed back.
This is conceding to a message by the Chief of Naval Operation, Adm. John Richardson, that was actually set to be introduced on Wednesday but was leaked on Facebook the day before.
This changing of titles is something that liberals no doubt enjoyed, but everyone else did not. And this step was headed by the former Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy, Michael D. Stevens. And right after that Richardson caught wind of the upset this caused.
This transforming of headlines is something that liberals no doubt loved, but everybody else did not. And this move was moved by the former Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy, Michael D. Stevens. And then Richardson caught wind of the upset this caused.
” We have learned from you, and so effective immediately, all rating names are restored,” Richardson stated in a message to the effected troops, who were actually very upset about the modification of their title.
” The feedback from current and former sailors has been consistent that there is broad support for the flexibility that the plan provides, but the elimination of rating titles detracted from accomplishing our major objectives.”.
Prior to this, Navy leadership had already discussed a results to the original score name system earlier after communicating with sailors concerning their ideas on the subject. And the Navy understood how important these kinds of titles are to their enlisted military personnel.
The Navy operates a little bit in a different way from other branches of the army. Their particular job in the military is expressed their headline. Instead of calling them Seaman, they renamed and say things like Hospital Corpsman, or Damage Controlman. It explains what they do, and they have great pride in it!
The Navy made a decision to veer from this particular and give their sailors a more generic title, and create a new Occupational Specialty for them to use. Anyone who has ever been in the military knows that change does not frequently go over well.
And this is a fantastic example of that!
” Our goals for modernizing the enlisted career development program — rating modernization — are to provide greater choice and flexibility for our sailors with respect to detailing and training, to provide greater flexibility for the Navy in assigning highly trained personnel, and to increase professional alignment with civilian employers,” Richardson stated.
” We strongly believe that providing this flexibility will make us a more capable Navy.” This type of flexibility did not go over well, and so they trashed it. But the Navy will proceed to make changes that will be easily implemented.
” This course correction doesn’t mean our work is done — rating modernization will continue for all the right reasons. Modernizing our industrial-age personnel system in order to provide sailors choice and flexibility still remains a priority for us,” Richardson stated.
He continued on to say, “As we execute the rating modernization plan, more sailors will have multiple occupational skill sets or ratings. We will need to tackle the issue of managing rating names. We will continue to involve sailors throughout the fleet.”.
At least the Navy admiral can resist US politically coorect culture – 241 year old tradition!
