Because the entertainment industry in this nation is run by liberals, Donald Trump has had a very challenging time convincing performers to implement at his inauguration, as they view it as a threat to their careers.
From Truth Monitor:
Currently, the full list of artists that have denied invitations to perform at Trump’s inauguration has been published, and it’s downright staggering. Here’s the full list up until now, presenting to Daily Beast:
Elton John– “Elton will not be performing a Trump inauguration,” said his spokesman after rumors swirled that he had indeed been scheduled for the inauguration. This arrived after John himself appeared to praise Trump by claiming, “This will be the first American president in U.S. history that enters the White House with a pro-gay-rights stance.”
Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, and Aretha Franklin– “Insiders” with Trump’s inauguration team told The Wrap that they had their “sights set on top-tier talents like Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, and Aretha Franklin, and were willing to pay steep fees for the performers.” However, it now appears that all four of them declined their invitations.
Celine Dion– Trump’s friend, Las Vegas hotelier Steve Wynn, apparently guaranteed Trump that he could get Celine Dion to perform at the inauguration. However, Wynn has since denied this, claiming through a spokesman, “Mr. Wynn was not asked to book specific performers for the inauguration, nor did he ever a make a commitment to find specific performers. So the reports are false.”
Garth Brooks– This country music star looked ready for the idea at first, saying, “It’s always about serving. It’s what you do.” On the other hand, The Wrap mentioned that he has diminished the invitation.
Andrea Bocelli– The Italian singer was directly approached by Trump to perform at the inauguration. However, after getting “too much heat” from fans on social media, complete with the #BoycottBocelli hashtag, he decided to back out.
KISS– Earlier this year, KISS frontman Gene Simmons defined Trump as “the truest political animal I’ve ever seen onstage.” Even so, when he was asked if he will perform at the inauguration recently, Simmons said, “no,” before including, “That’s not to say they didn’t ask.”
David Forster– He is famous as the producers of hits like Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” and Celine Dion’s “The Power of Love.” Over the weekend, he had to his Instagram to say, “For the record, I was asked to participate in the upcoming inauguration and politely and respectfully declined.” The Washington Post revealed that Forster had desired to perform, but got too nervous about angering the benefactors to his charitable foundation, numerous of whom were Hillary Clinton supporters.
This might not be diverse from Barack Obama’s inaugurations, which included A-list performers like Beyonce and Aretha Franklin.
Honestly, we find it horrific that each of these particular A-list celebrities is declining to perform for their new president.
